BDRC is a charitable company providing a range of independent support services to all disabled people, their families and carers living in Birmingham and Solihull.
BDRC's mission statement is “To support disabled people to take control of their own lives and to actively seek out opportunities to achieve their full potential as individuals in mainstream society".

Birmingham Repertory Theatre
The Repertory Theatre in Birmingham now provide both BSL sign language interpreted and audio described performances.

Birmingham Centre for Inclusive Living
Birmingham Centre for Inclusive Living is a third sector organisation and registered charity. It is run and managed by disabled people. It aims to work in partnership with disabled people across Birmingham to support and develop the aspirations of individual disabled people (partners) towards independent and inclusive living.
The Carers Network
The Carers Network is a recently created website aimed at providing carers in Birmingham with a 'one-stop' solution for finding the information they need.

Coventry Community Empowerment Network (CEN).
A network of around 200 community and user-led groups from across the city.
The network is community led and brings together groups and people who are interested in making a difference i9n their neighbourhood and community.
CEN provides a mechanism to enable community voices to be heard by the people and organisations who make the decisions that affect everyone's life so that we can all contribute to making Coventry a better place to live.

Centro
Centro is the corporate name of the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive. It is responsible for promoting and developing public transport across the West Midlands metropolitan area.It passes on the Grant which the West Midlands Passenger Transport Authority has awarded to WMSNT to help it run the Ring and Ride service.
The Centro web site provides information on bus and rail services and gives details about the range of Concessionary Passes and Fares available in the area for people with disabilities and those over 60.

EQUIP - Electronic Quality Information for the Public
EQUIP - www.equip.nhs.uk - an NHS website which signposts members of the public to useful health and social care websites that have been quality-checked and has a directory of over 4200 support groups and services both national and local to the West Midlands and checked regularly.

The aim of My Care in Birmingham is to make it easier for you to get information and advice about adult social care services, and to choose the services that suit you best.

Provides practical help and advice so that you can live as independently as possible. (Previously known as the Occupational Therapy Service).
One phone call will put you in touch with the OPAS team. OPAS (Older People's Access Service) will deal with your enquiry or pass your information to the Assist Birmingham Centre (ABC) or the rehabilitation and enablement area teams (REA).

SHOPMOBILITY
If you are unable or have great difficulty getting around town unaided, Shopmobility could have the answer. Shopmobility provide a wheelchair hiring service with wheelchairs to suite your needs and enable you to do your shopping independently.

- Attedant and self-propelled wheelchairs
- Powered wheelchairs
Equipment is available for people weighing up to 32 stone - larger pieces of equipment are popular and therefore advanced booking is recommended but not always necessary.
