Driver of the Month - July

Wingrove Joseph

Wingrove Joseph (Joe) has regularly driven the bus that supports the Stroke Association 'Tuesday Group' meetings.

Helen Muguire, the current East Birmingham Communication Support Co-ordinator for the Stroke Association is leaving and the Tuesday group sessions are closing until a replacement is recruited.

Helen wrote a personal card to Joe to say thank you for all that he had done to help towards the smooth running of the Group. She especially wanted to thank him for the occasions when he was prepared to put himself out to help members of the group.

Wingrove Joseph (Joe) joined wmsnt Contracts Division at Runcorn Road in 2006 as a part time driver mainly driving children to and from school. He had just retired from West Midlands Police after 32 years service.

Joe, although not a regular Ring and Ride Driver is always committed to providing the best service to his Passengers (as he does for the Pupils on his school bus), when he works between his normal Home to School routes, on behalf of a Ring and Ride Depot.

Joe is always willing to go out of his way to help his service passengers to ensure that they are transported safely, providing assistance when it is needed. He is a valued member of the staff at the Contracts Divison who provides regular journey support for Ring and Ride Depots.

Joe has been nominated by George Tolley, wmsnt Contracts Manager, for the award of Driver of the Month for July 2009.

Well done Joe!
