Jim started working for wmsnt in February 1996 as a driver at Ring and Ride Coventry. Jim then was promoted to Supervisor in November 1999 and on 1 June 2003 was again promoted, this time to Operations Controller.

From Monday 4th October Ring and Ride will be linking with National Express Coventry to enable Ring and Ride Passengers to visit Bedworth using the No. 20 route.

wmsnt is delighted to report that at the meeting of Coventry Partnership's Transport Theme Group on 25 November 2009, Mike Barnes, wmsnt's District Manager for Coventry was unanously elected Vice Chair.

wmsnt is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Barnes to run its Ring and Ride operation in Coventry. Mike took up his new post on 3rd August 2009.

Mrs Spicer celebrated her 100th Birthday on Wednesday 22nd July 2009 with a party for her family and friends.

Mrs Spicer has been registered with Ring & Ride for 11 years, and uses the service every week to travel to her local church.

Regular passenger Mrs Enid Arrowsmith celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday 10 May 2009.

Coventry Ring & Ride Passenger Mrs Edith Smith, celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday 05 April 2009.

Coventry Manager, Mike Franklin and Admin Assistant, Margaret Seadon visited Mrs Smith to present her with a birthday card and a flower arrangement.

Well done to the two Drivers who started with wmsnt in September 2008, who were successful in passing The RoSPA Advanced Driving Assessment in January 2009.

Talvir Grewal gained a Gold grade pass, and Jim Smith gained a Silver grade pass.

Of our current complement of Drivers, we now have 6 Gold grade passes, 3 Silver grade passes and 1 Bronze grade pass.
