Jim Hogan Retires
Jim started working for wmsnt in February 1996 as a driver at Ring and Ride Coventry. Jim then was promoted to Supervisor in November 1999 and on 1 June 2003 was again promoted, this time to Operations Controller.
On coming to Coventry from Ireland, Jim worked for 10 years for Rotherham & Sons Ltd before moving to Massey Ferguson (UK) Ltd, in which role saw him travelling the length and breadth of the UK and a fair amount abroad, and without which his repertoire of funny stories would be sorely depleted!
Jim went on to run his own pub for Bass Inns until 1992 where he collected a whole load more funny stories (ask him about the piano playing man with the dog and the taxman).
For the next couple of years Jim did a number of things including almost qualifying as a driving instructor before becoming a taxi driver (more funny stories) for Allen's Taxis in Coventry.
Jim has been a mainstay of the Ring and Ride Coventry operation and a major contributor to Coventry's current success with trip numbers. Without Jim's skilful juggling of minibuses and drivers rosters we would not be where we are now. Jim's unstinting support and loyalty have been critical to that success and is deeply appreciated.
