25th Anniversary of the Ring and Ride Service

The end of 2008 sees the 25th anniversary of the Ring and Ride service. To mark this historic landmark a series of events in partnership with Centro/PTA are being planned to commemorate the continued success of the service. As part of the celebration, the livery of our latest batch of buses, pictured, has been redesigned to provide a more vibrant and dynamic image.

Following lessons learnt from the previous batch of buses, In addition to the livery, better access has been provided by moving the side entrance, pictured, and redesigning the steps to make them lower and with better grab rails. Much needed storage space has also been provided at the front of the bus.

The open day gave people the opportunity to have a "sneak preview" of the buses and give us their views on the effectiveness of the design changes.

The day was also aimed at enabling service Passengers to meet staff and put faces to names as well as getting a better understanding of how the service operates. Particular attention was made to the booking and scheduling process!
