Interesting Days Out with Coventry Ring and Ride

Following the successful partnership pilot with Life Path Trust (a charity that provides supported independent living for adults with learning disabilities) that started in May this year, 10 days out to places of interest were arranged to destinations over the summer of 2011.

These included days out to Warwick Races, Hatton Shopping Village, the Three Counties Show, a day out in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, the Black Country Living Museum, a Cotswold Market and tour, Cadbury's World and the Malvern Autumn Show.

They proved so popular that on one occasion a second bus had to be put on! Anne Beeby, Life Path's Assistant of Social Care and Support Services said: “The trips are so popular, the drivers so kind and helpful that people are queuing up to book the next trip all the time. Anne went on to say: "It is wonderful to be able to bring a smile to people's faces!"

The next programme of trips is available now and is booking up quickly! These trips which are available to all registered Ring and Ride members start and finish at a central location in Coventry.

Mike Barnes, District Manager for Coventry said “this is a fantastic example of partnership working between charities that provides exciting and interesting days out for our members". He added “planning has started already and who knows where these trips might be taking people next summer?"

Please see the brochure for full details, booking arrangements and prices but the next programme includes trips to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens, Blackpool Illuminations, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Wellesbourne Market, Stratford Butterfly Farm, the Birmingham Sea Life Centre and in December just in time for Christmas, Worcester Victorian Christmas Fare, Grease the Musical, Bicester Outlet Village and Birmingham German Market and Craft Fare.

These trips must all be booked with Anne at Life Path (see brochure for details)
