Hall Green Transitional Carers Group

A group for carers of those of dementia or memory problems who are no longer caring at home.

Who is the group aimed at?

  • Have you been caring for or involved in the care of someone with dementia or memory problems?
  • Have they moved into a care home such as residential or nursing home?
  • Or have they passed away?

If this is the case, you may be going through a period of adjustment as a carer. This group is aimed at supporting you through those changes.

How the group may benefit you:

In the group you will meet people in similar circumstances over a cup of tea and biscuits.

You will be able to share your experiences with people who understand.

We also discuss issues which are important to you such as:

  • Your feelings of loss and adjustment
  • Coming to terms with the changes in your life
  • Financial issues which can be a concern in times of change
  • Questions or concerns about your loved one and their care

This group takes place at Hall Green Library, which is located on 1221 Stratford Road, Hall Green Library, Birmingham, B92 2AD.

The group tends to take place on the last Tuesday of every month although this can change due to bank holidays.
