Changes to Advanced Booking Facility will provide greater flexibility for passengers.
The Advanced Booking Facility (ABF), is aimed at enabling passengers to make a limited number of bookings in advance of the normal two day notice period, for special events or important appointments where they want to guarantee their journey.
The current system separates ABF journeys into local and Cross Boundary destinations and the number which can be booked into 6 month periods.
From 1st July 2010, this will be simplified to enable 12 ABF journeys to booked at any time and to any destination in the West Midlands (subject to availability) during a calendar year (January to December). This will be helpful you have to attend a monthly meeting and want to ensure that you get there, or you might need to use them all over a shorter period.
To use this facility, you will find booking forms enclosed with the latest newsletter or can be obtained by calling your local depot (click here for contact details).
Please ensure that you provide as much notice as possible when making your Advanced Booking. If you are unable to, or have problems completing a form, contact your local Ring and Ride depot who will be able to help you with this. They will also be able to give you more information and advice about this facility.
