Driver and Non Driver of the Year Awards

Following the success of last year's competition, both the Driver and Non Driver of the Year 2009 competitions are running between the 1st May and 31st October 2009.

The aims of the competition are to acknowledge the valued work carried out by all staff throughout the year, and to visibly reward Staff members for their efforts during the 6 month period over which the competition runs.

All employees are automatically entered and are awarded/ deducted points relative to areas of their daily performance at work i.e. attendance, attitude, appearance etc.

Each Depot will provide (after the points have been recorded) a "winner" and "runner up" in each category.

The 9 (Sandwell and Dudley count as 2 Depots and Contracts as 1) "Depot winners" in each section will go forward to an elimination round to decide the overall Driver and Non Driver of the year.

The elimination decider will consist of a driving theory and practical test for the Drivers and a work related 20 question paper (4 sections: Admin, Operations, Contracts and Scheduling) for the Non Drivers.

The prizes this year will include:

• Overall winners: £400 worth of travel vouchers; a trophy (the Steve Devlin Cup for the Driver and the Renee Spector Cup for the Non Driver; and a crystal gift.
• Depot winners: A Watch and a crystal gift
• Depot runners up: A crystal gift

The home Depot for each overall winner each staff member to receive a small gift.

The presentation to be held on the 24th November at the Clarenden Suite, Edgbaston.
