Neighbourhood Support Service

The Neighbourhood Support Service became City-wide during 2011, offering a floating support styled prevention service to help maintain independent living for people aged 60 plus or with a physical or sensory impairment. The short-term intervention is a client-led service, responding to the needs of individuals whether practical eg. financial, housing or health advice, or emotional welfare eg. taking part in the community.

Neighbourhood Support Officers assist clients to devise their own personal support plan and agree actions to access the many formal and informal partnership services or groups around the City. The advice is free whether you rent or own your home, however a charge may be made by some services which you may be referred to.

To contact the Neighbourhood Support Service for more information or to make a referral, please ring 01902 554701 or email
