Promoting Ring and Ride

Ring and Ride in the West Midlands is the most successful non-statutory service of its kind in the world. With an ageing population and greater expectations of disabled people, the need and therefore the demand for the service continues to grow.

To continue to respond effectively in meeting this demand and working closely with our primary funders, Centro, we continue to lobby central government, local Councils and Health Authorities to ensure that they recognise the importance of enabling people with limited mobility to maintain their independence. Also, the benefits this creates for both the individual and the social, health and benefit agencies they would otherwise have to depend on.

If you support this view, you too can play your part in helping us to raise awareness by contacting your local Councillor, MP or the media to let them know, if you are an existing service Passenger, how important your independence is to you and how Ring and Ride helps you maintain it.
