Training Division Update

The Training Department has been very busy in recent months in delivering our internal programme of Induction, Driver Refresher, Health and Safety, and First Aid training.

We have also delivered an extensive external training programme:

• Disability Awareness and Customer Care for Coventry Taxi Licensing Authority;
• Induction and Refresher Training for Birmingham Education Department Guides;
• Disability Awareness for Wolverhampton Council and a number of Taxi Training Companies delivering the NVQ level 2 for Taxi Drivers;
• Emergency Evacuation of a vehicle for Dudley Council;
• PCV Driver instruction for a Care centre and local school.

We have a number of new team members. Deena Nelson who will help with our main internal training but also as an NVQ Assessor for the Birmingham Education Contract Drivers, Jim Farrell has joined the team as an NVQ Assessor, and Emma Ayres has been recruited to be our Administrative Assistant.

With the new team members on board we look forward to developing our Training provision for Office based staff, and external customers.
