Sharing learning across the West Midlands to support environment action

All events are open to Community Environment Network members only. Join the Network to be able to attend any of the events.

The Community Environment Network aims to connect community groups working on environment action, boost their efforts, and also inspire and support new groups.

We will be hosting a variety of events for Network members to attend for free to help share learnings and support each other on their environment work.

Tuesday 20th January 2026

Join our inspiring webinar with Ekho Collective CIC!

Location: Online via Zoom

Time: 12:00 - 13:00

Register to attend here.

Discover how a Dudley-based social enterprise transformed a simple idea into a thriving community garden in Brierley Hill. Complete with a cob oven, compost toilet, and polytunnels, Ekho Collective’s Garden is a hub for connection, creativity, and wellbeing.

Throughout the year, they host Ever Wild festivals to bring people together and run therapeutic sessions focused on mental health and resilience.

In this webinar, Erika from Ekho Collective will share:

  • The journey of creating a community garden from scratch
  • Insights into green social prescribing and its impact
  • How they secured funding from key grant providers
  • Practical tips for running and growing a successful community garden

Don’t miss this chance to learn from real experience and get inspired to create your own green space!
