Freedom of information

Classes

Classes of information developed by WMCA

In order to make it easier to see what types of information we will make available our scheme is divided into classes of information:

Who we are and what we do, to include organisational information, location and contacts, constitutional and legal governance

What we spend and how we spend it, to include financial information related to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts

What our priorities are and how we are doing, to include strategy and performance information, plans, assessments, inspections and reviews

How we make decisions, to include policy proposals and decisions. Decision making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultations

Our policies and procedures to include current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities

Lists and registers to include information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the authority

The services we offer to include advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases, a description of the services offered

The scheme is generally not retrospective. Information will not necessarily be available through the scheme indefinitely. Policies and similar documents will be removed when they are no longer current.
