How to use the app

This quick guide will show you step-by-step how to use the app.

Downloading the app

You can download the app by searching 'WM On Demand' on your app store or by tapping on the links below: 

If you are a new Ring & Ride user

You will need to register first if you would like to use the service.

Register for Ring & Ride.

If you are a current Ring & Ride user

If you have received a text message with your username and temporary password, use those to log in.

If you haven't received a text message:

  1. Press 'Get Started' 
  2. Enter the mobile number registered to your Ring & Ride account
  3. Enter the 6 digital passcode that will be sent to your phone by SMS

If you do not have a mobile number registered to your account:

  1. Select 'Login with password':
  2. Enter the email address registered to your Ring & Ride account 
  3. The first time you login, you'll need to contact Customer Services on 0330 053 8141 to set up your password and help you log in for the first time. 

Booking a journey

To book a trip:

1. Select the date of your journey under 'When'

2. Select the time of your journey by scrolling to the correct time and tapping 'Set time'

  • Use 'Depart At' if you want to be picked up at a specific time
  • Use 'Arrive By' if you want to arrive by a certain time

3. Add any additional passengers and press 'Update Count'.

  • If you require an essential companion, it will be automatically be added and cannot be removed.

4. The app will assume your pick up location. You can update this by:

  • Entering the address manually in the Current Location search bar 
  • Use the pin on the map 

5. Enter your drop off address in the 'Destination' search bar or tap on 'Set on map' to use the pin

6. Add any information about your pick up or drop off location under 'Location Comments' 

7. Your journey option will appear. Tap on 'Reserve Ride. 

Tracking a journey

Approximately 30 minutes before your pick up, you will receive live tracking with the following journey details:

  • driver information
  • vehicle type
  • license plate
  • pick up details 

You will also receive a phone call or text message notification about your journey the night before and the day of your journey. 

Accessing your scheduled journeys 

  1. Tap on the three lines at the top left corner of the screen to open the menu 
  2. Select 'Scheduled journeys' 

You can access your journeys at a glance in calendar or list mode. 

Editing or cancelling a journey 

  1. Locate the journey you would like to cancel
  2. Tap on 'Edit' on the left or 'Cancel' on the right

You will not be charged for cancelling.

Managing your payment methods

  1. Tap on the payment method icon that's at the top right hand corner of the screen
  2. Select a new default payment method 
  3. Tap 'Add a new payment method'
  4. Choose the payment method that you are adding and tap on 'Save'

Saving Favourite Addresses 

  1. Tap on the payment method icon that's at the top right hand corner of the screen
  2. Tap on the location that you'd like to save
  3. Enter the address in the search bar then tap on 'Set Location'
